No. 9Dossier: "Mimesis in Philosophy and Literature"

Published 23.10.2025

Issue description

The issue of Nesir: Journal of Literary Studies (No. 9, October 2025) centers on the special dossier “Mimesis in Philosophy and Literature: Representation, Truth, and Meaning.” Jointly edited by Servet Gündoğdu and Emre Koyuncu, the dossier brings together eleven research articles and two translated texts contributed by scholars from seven countries across three continents. In addition to the thematic section, the issue also features five off-topic research articles, one translated text, one critical essay, and six book reviews. This issue reconsiders the concept of mimesis from Plato and Aristotle to modern and contemporary thinkers across aesthetics, philosophy, and literature, while maintaining Nesir’s ongoing commitment to interpretive depth beyond thematic boundaries.
