This study addresses new perspectives that can be developed towards the miscellanea (mecmua) genre through an example work (Penâhî Mecmuası). This miscellanea was compiled by Mustafa Müslim Ocak (d. 1945), known by his pseudonym Penâhî, in 1902. This mecmua is recorded under the name Mecmû'a-i Eş'âr in Ankara National Library Manuscripts Collection, with the fixture number 06 Mil Yz A 4922, referred to as Penâhî Mecmuası in this article. The first aim of this study is to reveal the possibilities provided to the reader of a miscellanea whose compiler and compilation date is known. The second aim of this study is to contribute to the MESTAP project through the classification of the miscellanea. It is seen that Penâhî Mecmuası has many aspe worth examining with its aspects such as the compiler's writing preferences and mistakes, the poets and number of poems he includes, his own text/poem or note, his literary style, and mystical views. Applying the perspective developed on the materials in this miscellanea to others with similar characteristics and bringing their contents together with researchers through the MESTAP project will provide essential gains for miscellanea studies.
